Aggressive 4L60E performance builds for real-world abuse.
Every unit is stripped, pressure washed, scrubbed, inspected and upgraded by one builder — Mike — not a big box reman line.
You see exactly what went into your transmission before it ever goes under your truck.
Limited spots. First come, first served — every unit is built start-to-finish by one pair of hands.
// Why buy from Flippin' Mike's
You’re not just buying a transmission. You’re buying the hours of cleaning, the focus, and the obsession of a builder
who actually cares if this thing lives behind your truck for years.
Stage II 4L60E • Street / Strip
Base build aimed at real-world trucks and daily drivers that still see hard pulls, burnouts, and heavy loads.
Every weak point we know about in the 4L60E gets attention.
Full teardown, inspection and aggressive cleaning — no “wipe it and send it” shortcuts.
Upgraded 3-4 clutch pack and steels, corrected clearances, and attention to apply pressures.
Valve body and pump updates focused on reliability, line pressure, and firm, confident shifts.
New seals, bushings and soft parts — built as if it’s going under Mike’s own truck.
Typical finished unit range: $1,600 – $2,200* (*final price depends on core, parts list, and customer goals)
How your build will be showcased
Every transmission gets its own build page on this site. When it’s ready for sale,
buyers see proof of the work — not just a pressure washed case and a price.

Written build list: exactly what parts, upgrades and checks went into that specific unit.

The build roadmap
Every 4L60E that comes through the shop follows the same disciplined flow. No skipping stages because
“it looks good enough”.
01 • Tear-down
Dirty core on the stand, full disassembly, all hard parts organized and inspected.
02 • Deep clean
Pressure wash, hot soapy scrubbing, brushes through every passage, and compressed air blow-out.
03 • Inspection
Drums, planets, shafts and case checked. Known weak spots get extra attention.
04 • Upgrade & assembly
New frictions, steels, seals and upgrades installed with measured clearances and documented steps.
